Who we serve

Government is our only client.

Public receivables are governed by statute, watched by auditors and owed by constituents. We work only for public entities, so every process we run is designed around those three facts.

Local

Cities, counties, townships, courts and special districts.

  • Municipal income and property-related taxes
  • Water, sewer and utility accounts
  • Court fines, fees and costs
  • Code enforcement and EMS billing

State

Agencies, boards, commissions and public institutions.

  • Delinquent state taxes
  • Program and benefit overpayments
  • Licensing fees and penalties
  • University and college receivables

Federal

Departments, agencies and federally funded programs.

  • Non-tax administrative debt
  • Civil penalties and assessments
  • Program overpayments
  • Loan and grant receivables

Services

Three services, one account of record.

Engage us for a single service or for the full life of a receivable, from the first bill to the last dollar remitted.

Debt collection

Recovery of delinquent accounts placed by public entities, worked under the statutes that govern each debt type.

  • Account location and skip tracing
  • Notices, calls and online payment
  • Payment plans within your policy
  • Referral for legal action where authorized

Accounts receivable management

Early-stage billing and follow-up in your agency's name, so fewer accounts become delinquent in the first place.

  • Statements and reminder cycles
  • Payment processing and posting
  • Constituent questions and disputes
  • Reconciliation to your ledger

Asset management

Long-lived portfolios of judgments, liens and receivables kept current, so recoverable value is not lost to time.

  • Portfolio inventory and valuation
  • Judgment and lien tracking and renewal
  • Asset identification and monitoring
  • Enforcement recommendations

Our approach

How an engagement works.

1

Placement

We map your debt types, authority and policies, then accept accounts through a secure transfer in the format you already use.

2

Outreach

The people who owe are your constituents. Every contact is clear, respectful and offers a practical way to resolve the account.

3

Recovery and remittance

Payments are posted to the account of record and remitted on your schedule, with every dollar traceable to its source.

4

Reporting

Standing reports for finance staff and elected officials, and a complete record ready for your auditors at any time.

Compliance and security

Accountable to the same standards you are.

When we contact a constituent, we do it on your behalf. Our controls are built so that nothing we do becomes a problem for the office that hired us.

Collection law

Procedures written to the federal and state collection laws that apply to each debt type, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and Regulation F where they apply.

Data security

Accounts are worked in RevTrack, a collections system designed around the IRS Publication 1075 safeguards for federal tax information. Every user signs in under their own account with role-based access, accounts lock after repeated failed sign-ins and expire when unused, and account activity is written to an audit log.

Audit-ready records

Every notice, call, payment and remittance is logged against the account and can be produced for your auditors or a public records request.
